Chipotle Hummus
Stumped on what to bring to your New Year’s Eve party? How about whipping together a batch of chipotle hummus?
I love spicy food. I’ve been known to go through periods in which I ladle tablespoons of hot sauce onto every plate of food I eat like there’s no tomorrow. But I don’t like food that’s so hot you can’t taste anything. Chipotles, smoke-dried jalapeƱos, are perfect in that respect; they’ve got some kick, but also pack in the flavor. If you have any luck whatsoever, a grocery store near you sells cans of chipotle peppers packed in adobo sauce. Just throw a few whole peppers and a dollop of adobo sauce in a blender with a can of chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, salt, and lemon juice. Slice some pitas into wedges and toast, and you’re good to go! And no worries about purchasing store-bought hummus that’s indirectly supporting Zionism.

Oh yes! Happy New Year!
I love hummus and I adore combining it with fiery chili peppers, or something with a bit of heat to give it a kick. This is a fabulous idea and the pictures are great!
The year of the chipotle pepper starts off right!
I hoped you would be pleased! This is all thanks to you.
