Cake Wrecks

This is AMAZING.

And so are these. I’m sharing these half as a dare (Please make me a cake shaped and frosted like a HAMBURGER. Please.), and half as a reminder that I need to do a vegan rendition of these. Seriously, the bakery at the grocery store down the road pumps out the wackiest shit. Those are vanilla wafers subbing as buns, in case you were wondering. The rest is frosting. Seriously.

Oh and hey — check out Cake Wrecks if you like this sort of thing!

i love cake wrecks! i have spent a lot of time looking at it…
i actually found a hamburger-shaped cupcake at whole foods one time and got some friends to buy and eat it (it wasn’t vegan so i couldn’t…but i got a lot of pleasure from watching them eat it). these ones are pretty classy too. :-)

Those. Are. Amazing. Reading this post brought Charm City Cakes to mind. Their cakes are absolutely insane. They aren’t exclusively vegan, but one of the cake makers is vegan, and they do make them on request. Check out the gallery on the website below for the most non-realistic looking cakes imaginable.

….Too bad there is a $1,000.00 minimum if you want to order one. Doesn’t look like that’s going to be happening for me anytime soon!

Ethan – good call! I’ve actually seen their show once or twice… pretty incredible stuff! And always nice to hear vegan options are available. (That’s a serious price tag, though, wow!)
